Quaint little place. Parking lot is small and tight. We parked a couple blocks down but were happy to take quick stroll and be rewarded with an awesome meal! Place had a steady stream of customers. Quick service and our food was brought out pretty fast. The roast duck in both the rice and noodle dishes was very flavorful. You get actual roast duck pieces in the rice dish than you do in the noodles. I had more bits and pieces of duck in the noodles. Would have preferred big pieces. We would definitely come back and try other dishes on the menu.

I saw an Eater YouTube video about this place, so marked it as another place to go to during my visit to LA. On our first visit at dinner time, they posted that they were sold out of roast duck so we didn't stay. We decided to return the next day for lunch, to make they had duck, as that was the main reason we wanted to try the place. This place is tiny. Maybe had 4 or 5 tables plus a counter to sit at. Fortunately, they had room for us! The menu is equally small, and so we tried the following: - Half Roast Duck: Excellent. Having grown up eating a lot of Chinese roast duck, this wasn't too different, but definitely better in a few small ways. Sometimes, the breast portion can get dry and gamey, but not here. The meat was juicier and more plump. And all the bones are removed, so less work for the kids to eat! - Jade Noodles: Meh. For the sides, we could have chosen rice or noodles. We tried the noodles, and the first dish had some sort of metal ribbons in it (like when use you use a can opener and you get some cuttings during the opening process). I'm not sure how they got there, but we pointed it out and they replaced it. When we got a new plate, it was fine, but didn't find the noodles completed the duck as well as rice does. - Thai Papaya Salad: Good. Very typical. A little spicy, but quality ingredients. - Pad See Ew: Excellent. Not to be outdone, but this Pad See Ew was one of the tastiest I've had. If I had room, I would've ordered more. Service is basic, but friendly. Met my expectations. Overall, another great, yet affordable meal. Duck was fantastic, and service is quick, and the price was more than reasonable. If I lived in LA, I would be coming here regularly.

Food exceeded expectations. Dining room was ragged. But don't let that influence your decision to eat here. The Roast Duck is absolutely excellent. That Spicy Basil Duck, the same. 5 people working in a 10'x5' dining room, and every single one of them was smiling. Don't come with more than two people, as you won't be able to sit together, but if you are a solo diner, or you and your significant other like to try off-the-beaten-path places, this just might become your new favorite. For foodies, for sure. Five stars for the food!

From start to finish, I loved my experience at Roasted Duck by Pa Ord. This is a restaurant that had been on my radar for a while, having heard rave reviews both online and from friends who had been. While this particular spot is relatively new (I believe they opened less than a year ago), Pa Ord Noodle just a few blocks away (same team/sibling restaurant) is a legendary spot regarded as one of the best Thai restaurants in Thai Town. I couldn't wait to give this place a try. On a Sunday around 12:30pm, the wait to eat was ~15 minutes. This restaurant is truly tiny, with a constant flow of customers waiting for a table. I would not recommend coming here with a group larger than ~4-6 people given the limited seating. The menu is filled with lots of great options. I decided on the Roasted Duck Noodle (priced at $17) and was not disappointed. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was VERY delicious and flavorful. I loved the broth, the noodles, and the roast duck! I would definitely order this item again. If looking for a top notch Thai restaurant in Los Angeles, I'd highly encourage you to check this place out. The space itself is a little small and cramped, but the food is phenomenal.

The place is very small, meant for groups of 2 to 3 people per table. Our family of 4 sat at the counter. We came because of the name Roasted Duck, and the high reviews. We like places that specializes and therefore excel at specific things. ORDERED: 2 person portions of Roasted Duck - tender, flavorful, not too much fat; winner. Pad See Ew - Yummy wok stir fried noodle with meat and veggies Thai Crab Roll - Tried something new but not a fan of this one.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 I saw this restaurant on TV and had been wanting to try it ever since. After checking the Yelp reviews, which looked promising, I gave it a shot. The first two times I visited, they had already sold out of roasted duck. On my third attempt, I made sure to arrive early at 5 p.m. and barely made it before they sold out again at 5:30 p.m. I ordered the roasted duck noodle soup, roasted duck over rice, and roasted duck salad. All three dishes were absolutely amazing and deserving of 5 stars. The duck salad, in particular, stood out--it was unlike anything I've ever had. They included grapes and apples in the salad, and the way everything came together created the tastiest duck salad I've ever tried. If you don't eat spicy food, I recommend ordering the mild option, but for me, the spice level was perfect as I enjoy spicy flavors. The only reason I'm rating this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don't serve tap water, and parking can be a challenge. Nonetheless, the food makes it worth a visit! I will definitely repeat!

This tiny spot specializes in roasted duck. Pa Ord is known for amazing boat noodles at their location a couple blocks west on the other end of Thai Town. Roasted Duck Special: I got the roasted duck combo with a side of jade noodles. The duck meat is juicy and tender like Cantonese BBQ duck, but the game changer is the gravy. The duck gravy is sweet, tangy, and savory. There is a small bowl on the side, and I couldn't help dunking everything in it, even the noodles and the green vegetables. The jade noodles are not seasoned, so add some of the accompanying soy-based sauce with pickled jalapeño peppers. Sprinkle a bit of sugar, add some sambal, stir it up, and you're all set. The flavors are so good, I am already planning my next visit. Dining Area: Inside, there are a few tables and a small counter that can seat four people. Outside, there are also a few little tables. Parking: The lot only has a few spots, so you should probably aim for street parking.

A small little hole in the wall restaurant with big flavors! Roasted Duck is a really small restaurant located in a small plaza with limited parking. I would recommend finding street parking during busy hours. There's also limited number of tables inside the restaurant, like 2 small tables and the rest are bar seats. They do have 2 more small tables right outside as well. If you have a large party, then I would suggest ordering to-go! What do you get? The duck of course! They have a signature combo on their menu for 1 person or 2 people portion of duck with a side of jade green noodles or rice. Their duck is surprisingly really juicy and tender! No need to worry about bones since they removed that already. Flavor is great, but if you need additional flavoring then there are two dipping sauces that come with the dish as well (one of which is a thick sauce and the other is a spicy sauce). Can't go wrong with the dish that the restaurant is named after. We also ordered Pad See Ewe with beef and their Thai Papaya Salad. Their Pad See Ewe is great, but I would probably not order it with beef next time. Since it's a duck restaurant, I would suggest just sticking with what they're known for. The papaya salad was amazingly refreshing and the flavor was perfect. Overall I would totally come back to try their other dishes!
